The Role

Haystack Federal Inc. is seeking a Federal Account Executive to sell the HaystackFed ATS platform to federal contractors and GovCon-adjacent organizations. This is a pure sales role focused on prospecting, product demonstrations, and closing subscription-based SaaS deals. It is not a federal capture or proposal position.

 

This role is structured as a phased engagement:

– Phase 1: Independent contractor (1099) engagement focused on prospecting, validating market fit, and closing initial SaaS subscriptions using existing networks

– Phase 2: Transition to W-2, commission-only employment with Lincoln America Inc. upon demonstrated performance and mutual agreement, with expanded responsibilities and long-term growth potential

 

Key Responsibilities

– Prospect, qualify, and close new customers for the HaystackFed SaaS platform

– Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through executed customer agreements

– Conduct product demonstrations and value-based sales presentations

– Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline using CRM tools

– Collaborate with leadership on pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy

– Support renewals and expansion opportunities with existing customers

– Represent HaystackFed at industry events, conferences, and virtual sales engagements

 

Required Qualifications

– Proven experience in B2B sales, SaaS sales, or technology solution sales

– Familiarity with the federal contracting or GovCon ecosystem

– Strong prospecting, closing, and relationship management skills

– Ability to work independently in a remote environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

– Experience selling SaaS or subscription-based platforms

– Background selling HR technology, ATS, compliance, or workforce solutions

– Existing relationships with federal contractors or GovCon decision-makers

 

Compensation

– Commission-based compensation tied to closed SaaS subscription sales

– Initial 1099 phase paid per executed customer agreement

– Transition to W-2 commission-only employment with Lincoln America Inc. and uncapped earning potential

– Commission percentages, payout timing, and performance expectations defined in written agreements

 

Work Environment

– Fully remote with flexible schedule

– Eastern Time Zone preferred due to customer schedules

– Occasional travel for conferences or customer meetings
